Shelagh Mary Veronica McCarron 73 of Lincoln, RI passed away on February 5, 2021 in Providence. She was the best friend and beloved wife of Mark Schab for 36+ years.

Shelagh was the daughter of the late James and Joan (Brown) McCarron. Sister of the late Joanna Nichols.

Besides her husband, she is survived by brother James McCarron of Anchorage, AK, along with numerous cousins, including Yvonne, Katherine, and Linda, all from England.

Shelagh grew up, attended Catholic school, and high school in Lowell, MA.

Shelagh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Bridgewater State University Teachers College. She taught in schools in Massachusetts for several years before moving on to an entry level systems position at Cumberland Farms Corporate. Shelagh worked at Cumberland Farms Corporate for 40+ years and worked her way up to a Systems Information Specialist before taking a well-deserved and earned retirement at the age of 70.

Burial will be held on Friday, March 26th at 11:45a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, 139 Turners Falls Road, Montague, MA 01351. Relatives and friends are invited. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Lifespan Cancer Institute, Development Office, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02901.
